26/10/07 - ACCA Graduation Ceremony DayWow...Waited for so long for this day to come....heee... My dad,mum & sis came super early in the morning to Singapore to attend my graduation ceremony... They're waiting at the mrt station nearest to my house & all of us heading to City Hall together... This ceremony held at Raffles City Convention Centre, Stamford Ballroom.... I brought them to have breakfast at Ya Kun Toast, my parents comment that it taste special & nice, but too sweet for them, hehe...After that, i rushed to register attendance for the ceremony & left them outside the ballroom...
I met Cherng Kae in the ballroom, he's one of my poly school mate, known him through TEP attachment....We started to take photos around even without changing the graduation gown yet, haha....I wanted to take photo with Li Lian, my classmate for 1 of the ACCA paper, but she's still having breakfast with her hubby, so we decided to take photos after that...
The briefing started at 10.10am, the organiser is quite a humour person... He gave his briefing in a very funny & interesting manner in order to grab our attention... 6 of his colleagues showed us how to march in with the music turned on, two by two, then he REMINDED us not to WAVE when marching in, meanwhile, the demo person also waved to show us, super funny... He explained all the procedures & situation clearly to us, step by step, not to forget to smile when we're on stage, shake hands, left from the behind of the VIP, the way he REMINDED us not to fall down when getting down the stage, asking us to throw our sq hats to the top after clapping for guests presence, then the next step is to hold our head in order to protect from getting injured, haha, all graduates laughed out loudly, hehe...
After briefing, it's time for us to change our gown & getting ready for the ceremony... I went to prepare myself with Li Lian, then her husband as a camera man very professional, carrying the big & high quality camera keep shooting photos for us, i can imagine those photos definitely seem to be very natural, heee... All graduates were queueing up to wait for the gown shop person-in-charged to pin the gown & hat for us... We're back to the outside of the ballroom to get into our queue once we're ready...
As planned, the music turned on, all graduates two by two marched in into the ballroom through the main entrance, all guests were clapped to welcome & cheers for us... After 2 boring speech, the giving out cert session was started, aiyo... my surname starts with W, total 295 graduates attended the ceremony, then my number is 262, while waiting for my turn, me & the graduates sitted beside me started to comment on those graduates on stage, haha...
During my turn, i was very excited & keep holding my gown walking towards the VIP, keep smiling, too excited la, hehe...shake hands, but i think i was like don't know where to aim for photo shooting, hehe... Too nervous la... Perhaps the photo come out look nice....Last job was to throw our sq hats to the top after clapping for our guests presence... The ceremony was ended at 2pm...
This is the time to have some refreshment & take as many as photos we can, hehe...I was quite dissapointed that my favourite lecturer-Mr Marty was absent for this event... He initially told us he'll be attended... What a pity...
Since it's still early, I brought my familys to my aunty's house, my aunty was surprised & thought that i'm engaged, wanted to give wedding invitation card, haha... Cuz she saw me holding the roses, heee...My mum chit-chatting with her... We left her house & heading to my bf's house at around 6pm...
This is the first time both familys meeting each other, hehe... My familys visited his house & my mum chit chatting alot with his mum... We went downstairs to have our dinner... My uncle very funny, keep mentioning that we're soon become "自己人" already, no need to be 客气, heee... Then my mum said even though my parents first day meet them, but they seem to be more close to them instead of my bf, hehe... It was a pleasant dinner... My familys left at 8.30pm...
It's a super busy & tiring day, but had fun & it's memorable....
